📌 What is Bank Apprentice?
Apprentice under the Apprentices Act — Structured Training at Central Bank
Bank Apprentice is a one-year training position under the Apprentices Act, 1961, offered by Central Bank of India. Selected candidates are placed at bank branches across India and receive a monthly stipend during the training period. This is not a permanent job — it is a paid training programme. However, qualifying the apprenticeship gives candidates banking experience that significantly helps in further bank recruitment exams (IBPS, SBI, etc.). The process is managed through the NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) portal and BFSI SSC (Banking Financial Services and Insurance Sector Skill Council).
Important: Apprentice is a training position with a stipend — it is not a permanent or contractual bank job. Do not confuse it with IBPS Clerk or Bank PO recruitment.
