Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank (SCB) or Regional Rural Bank (RRB) listed in the Second Schedule of the RBI is mandatory. Experience in NBFCs, Cooperative Banks, Payment Banks, Small Finance Banks, or Fintechs will NOT be counted. Freshers and candidates without SCB/RRB officer experience are ineligible.
🗣️ State Local Language Proficiency is Mandatory. Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state they are applying for — reading, writing, speaking, and understanding. A separate Local Language Test is part of the selection process. Apply only for the state whose local language you are fluent in.

Online Written Exam — Tests Banking/Financial Awareness, Reasoning, English, General/Economy awareness. Shortlists candidates for next stage.

Group Discussion (GD) / Interview — Assesses banking knowledge, communication, and leadership. Combined score determines final merit.
Document Verification — Graduation/professional certificate, experience letter from SCB/RRB (confirming officer designation), language proficiency, category certificate.
Medical Examination — Pre-appointment fitness check per BOB medical standards.

LBO (Local Bank Officer) क्या है — Regular PO से कैसे अलग है?
LBO = Local Bank Officer = BOB का state-specific lateral officer recruitment। Regular PO (Probationary Officer) fresh graduates के लिए होता है। LBO specifically experienced bank officers के लिए है जो पहले से किसी Scheduled Commercial Bank या RRB में officer रहे हों। LBO को specific state में post किया जाता है जहाँ वो local language में customers serve कर सकें। Career-wise यह एक lateral entry है — Junior Management Grade Scale I (JMGS-I) में direct joining।
कौन से banks की experience valid है — NBFC, SFB, Payment Bank क्यों नहीं?
