Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) · Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 · Apply: 11 May – 10 June 2026 · Exam: 06 Sep 2026 · ctet.nic.in

CTET September 2026 Online Form is open from 11 May to 10 June 2026 at ctet.nic.in. CBSE conducts CTET twice a year — this is the September 2026 session. The exam is on 6 September 2026. CTET is a mandatory eligibility test for teachers applying to central government schools — KVS, NVS, and CBSE-affiliated schools. It has two papers: Paper 1 for Classes 1–5 teachers and Paper 2 for Classes 6–8 teachers. Qualifying candidates receive a lifetime valid certificate. No upper age limit. No negative marking. Minimum qualifying score is 60% (90/150 marks).

✅ Lifetime Certificate

CTET qualifying certificate is now valid for lifetime (changed from 7 years in 2021). Candidates who cleared CTET earlier with limited validity can also re-appear to improve scores.

🚨 Form closes 10 June 2026 at 11:59 PM. Correction window also available after submission. No age limit — anyone with teaching qualification can apply.

📌 Both Papers Optional: Apply for Paper 1 only (Classes 1–5), Paper 2 only (Classes 6–8), or both papers— depending on which level you want to teach. Fee differs accordingly.

No. CTET is an eligibility test only — it makes you eligible to apply for teacher posts in KVS, NVS, CBSE-affiliated schools, and other central government institutions.
