UPSC has released the NDA/NA Examination (II) 2026 notification (Advt. No. 10/2026-NDA-II) for 394 vacancies in the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of NDA and the Indian Naval Academy. Both male and female candidates are eligible for NDA wings. Applications open at upsconline.nic.in till 9 June 2026. Written exam on 13 September 2026. Class 12 (10+2) pass is the minimum qualification. Fee is just ₹100 (Gen/OBC). SC/ST and female candidates are exempt from fee.

🎯 Selection Process — 4 Stages

1. Written Examination ⭐ Shortlisting Stage

   Held on 13 September 2026 at exam centres across India. Paper I: Mathematics (300 marks · 2.5 hours). Paper II: General Ability Test / GAT (600 marks · 2.5 hours). Total: 900 marks. Negative marking: −1/3 per wrong answer in both papers. Admit card released ~6 September 2026 on upsc.gov.in.
   

2. SSB Interview — 5 Days ⭐ Final Merit Based on This

   Services Selection Board (SSB) interview at designated centres. Stage I: OIR test + PPDT (Picture Perception & Description Test). Stage II: Psychology tests (TAT, WAT, SRT, SD) + GTO tasks + Personal Interview + Conference. SSB marks determine final merit for admission to NDA/INAC.
   

3. Medical Examination Qualifying

   Comprehensive medical examination at designated military hospitals. Vision standards, physical fitness, and overall health assessed. SSB-recommended candidates who clear medical are placed in the merit list.
   

4. Merit List + Joining

   Final merit list published on upsc.gov.in. Selected candidates report to NDA Khadakwasla (Pune) or Indian Naval Academy (INAC) Ezhimala for 3-year training followed by respective service academy training.

⚠️ Critical Instructions

• OTR mandatory before applying. Complete UPSC One-Time Registration at upsconline.nic.in first. No OTR = no application possible.

• Correction window is 10–16 June 2026 only. No corrections after 16 June. Double-check all details including wing preference, date of birth, and qualification before submitting.

• Class 12 appearing students are eligible to apply — provisional admission subject to passing Class 12 before course commencement (expected July 2027).

• Admit card available ~6 September 2026 at upsc.gov.in. Downloaded via OTR login using Registration Number and DOB.

• Army Wing has 208 vacancies — largest share. Class 12 in ANY stream eligible. Best entry route for students without Physics/Maths in 10+2.

• Female candidates are exempt from ₹100 fee. All NDA wings (Army, Navy, Air Force) are now open to female candidates. INAC (Naval Academy) — verify from official notification PDF for female eligibility.
