📋 Who Should Fill the UPPSC GIC Lecturer Mains Form 2026?

Candidates who: (1) Originally applied for UPPSC GIC Lecturer Recruitment 2025 (Advt A-5/E-1/2025 — applications: August–September 2025); (2) Appeared in the Prelims Written Exam on 14 & 17 June 2026; (3) Found their name in the Subject-wise Prelims Result published by UPPSC. These candidates are now eligible to fill the Mains Online Form from 29 July to 12 August 2026 at uppsc.up.nic.in. Fresh applicants who did not appear in the Prelims cannot apply at this stage.

🏫 What is GIC Lecturer? What is a Government Intermediate College?

GIC = Government Intermediate College — state-run secondary schools in Uttar Pradesh that cater to Classes 9-12 (Intermediate level). Lecturer posts in GICs are equivalent to PGT (Post-Graduate Teacher) level — teaching at Class 11-12 in specific subjects. These are permanent state government teaching posts under the UP Secondary Education Department. Post-graduate (PG/Master's) degree in the relevant subject is the minimum academic requirement. UPPSC conducts recruitment for GIC Lecturer posts through a Written Exam (Prelims + Mains) followed by Interview.

🔄 Selection Process — Current Stage: Mains

Prelims Written Exam (COMPLETED ✓ — 14 & 17 June 2026)

Objective-type written screening exam. Results released subject-wise from 20 July 2026 onwards. Qualifying candidates are now filling the Mains form.

Mains Written Examination (CURRENT STAGE)

Detailed subject-specific written exam for Mains form applicants. Subject-specific paper covering advanced knowledge of the lecturer's discipline. Date to be announced by UPPSC after Mains form submission window closes (post 12 August 2026).

Interview

Mains-qualified candidates are called for Interview — assessing subject knowledge, teaching aptitude, and communication skills for UP secondary education service.

Document Verification

Original certificates: PG degree (relevant subject), age proof, UP domicile, category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH as applicable), and any other documents specified in the notification.

✍ How to Fill UPPSC GIC Lecturer Mains Form 2026

1. First — verify your Prelims result: Check your subject's Prelims result at uppsc.up.nic.in (links below). You must be on the qualified list to fill the Mains form. If not qualified, this page is not applicable for you at this stage.

2. Visit uppsc.up.nic.in and click the "UPPSC GIC Lecturer Mains Online Form 2026" link. Login with your Prelims registration number and date of birth.

3. Fill in required Mains form details — verify personal information, select exam centre preference, and confirm subject. Upload any required documents in prescribed format.

4. Pay the Mains form fee: ₹125 (General/EWS/OBC) · ₹65 (SC/ST/ESM) · ₹25 (PH) via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Deadline: 12 August 2026.
