🎯 Selection Process
Computer Based Test (CBT) 100% Merit
Single-day exam across all regions simultaneously. 170 objective questions, 2 hours. Part I: 120 technical questions. Part II: 50 aptitude questions. Final merit prepared region-wise based only on CBT marks. Negative marking: −0.25 per wrong answer.Computer Skill Test (CST) Qualifying — JOT only
Only for JOT-HR and JOT-F&A posts. Qualifying nature — 50% for UR/EWS, 40% for reserved. Candidates called in ratio 1:5 (for 1–4 vacancies) and 1:3 (for 5+ vacancies). No merit weightage.
Trade Test Qualifying — JTT only
Only for JTT-Survey post. Qualifying in nature — 40% for UR/EWS, 30% for reserved. No merit weightage.
Document Verification Qualifying
Original certificates verified: Diploma/Degree marksheets, caste certificate (OBC NCL issued on/after 01.04.2025), DOB proof, photo ID. Final year candidates must produce final result proof.
Pre-Employment Medical Examination Qualifying
Physical and medical fitness as per POWERGRID norms. Must be declared medically fit for final absorption.

DIPLOMA TRAINEE & JOT (DT / JOT)
Training Stipend: ₹24,000/month + IDA + HRA
~₹12.7 Lakhs/year
Post-absorption Pay Scale: ₹25,000 – 3% – ₹1,17,500 (IDA) at S1 level
JUNIOR TECHNICIAN TRAINEE (JTT)
Training Stipend: ₹21,000/month + IDA + HRA
~₹10.9 Lakhs/year
Post-absorption Pay Scale: ₹21,500 – 3% – ₹74,000 (IDA) at W3 level

New registration with valid email & mobile. Get unique Application ID.
Select Post & Region
Choose post (DTE/DTC/JOT etc.) and preferred region. Cannot change after submission.
Upload Documents
Photo & signature (JPG, max 50KB), DOB proof, all semester marksheets, caste cert (JPG/PDF).
Pay Fee & Submit
₹300 (DT/JOT) or ₹200 (JTT) via online gateway. Click Final Submit. Take printout.
⚠️ Critical Instructions
Diploma in Electrical: 70% marks mandatory for Gen/OBC/EWS. Below 70% = ineligible, application rejected at DV stage.
OBC (NCL) certificate must be issued on/after 01.04.2025. Older certificates not accepted.
Region selection is final — no inter-region transfer allowed after joining. Choose region based on where you can relocate.
JOT-HR requires BBA/BBM/BBS with minimum 60% marks— not just any graduation degree.
Legal jurisdiction for disputes: NCT of Delhi. Approach Delhi courts only if needed.
Applications can be edited/updated till the last date (11 May 2026) if needed before final submission.
JTT-Survey has lowest fee (₹200) and simpler CBT qualifying criteria. Good option if you have ITI Surveyor trade certificate.
Final year students eligible — get your college to issue a pre-final marksheet showing you meet the percentage criteria.
SC/ST/PwBD candidates reimbursed sleeper class travel fare for CBT — save your tickets and carry self-attested category cert.
