🎓 EDUCATION

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical OR Electrical Engineering

• Minimum 40% aggregate marks from a recognized University/Institution

🏭 Experience (Mandatory): Minimum 1 year post-qualification working experience in Operation or Maintenance of a thermal/hydro/gas/nuclear power plant with installed capacity of 40 MW or above. This is a hard requirement — no experience = automatic rejection.

⚠️  Not a PSU regular pay scale. This is a fixed consolidated amount of ₹55,000 — not the IDA pay scale. No pension. Contract-based with performance extension.

🎯 Selection Process

1. Application Shortlisting Based on marks + experience

   NTPC management screens applications based on academic percentage, years of experience, and relevance to power plant operations. Mere application does not guarantee call for further stages.

2. Written / Computer Based Test If conducted

   May be conducted to restrict candidate numbers — not confirmed as mandatory. Syllabus: Power plant operations, thermodynamics, electrical/mechanical systems, reasoning, and GK (energy sector focus).

3. Personal Interview Merit + experience based

   Shortlisted candidates called for interview. Focus on power plant operational knowledge, safety protocols, and hands-on experience. Technical depth is critical.

4. Medical Examination Qualifying

   Medical at NTPC hospital. No relaxation in prescribed health standards. Decision is final and binding. Shift duty and power plant environment fitness required.

💡 NTPC reserves the right to cancel or modify the selection process at any stage, including skipping the written test or adding stages.

⚠️ Critical Instructions

• Experience certificate must explicitly state power plant capacity ≥ 40 MW. Vague experience letters may lead to rejection.

• Incomplete or inaccurate applications will be automatically rejected without further notice.

• Posts are pan-India transferable— you can be posted to any NTPC station or JV. Do not apply if you cannot relocate.
  

• Offline fee payment also accepted via SBI — generate pay-in slip during application, pay at any SBI branch.

• No correction window confirmed — apply carefully from the start. SC/ST get 10 years age relaxation (not 5).

• Female candidates are fee-exempt regardless of category — no ₹500 needed.

• Application window is very short (14 days) — if eligible, apply today. Don't wait for the last day.
