Candidates who applied for JTET 2024 (Advt. 30/2024) and completed the process do NOT need to pay fee again for JTET 2026 — but must re-apply under new eligibility terms.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

🎂 Age Limit: Minimum 18 years (Paper 1) · 21 years (Paper 2) · No Upper Age Limit as of 21 August of exam year.

Paper 1 — Primary Teacher (Class 1–5)

Any ONE of the following qualifications: • Senior Secondary (10+2) with 50%+ marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) • Senior Secondary with 45%+ marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (NCTE 2002) • Senior Secondary with 50%+ marks + 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) • Senior Secondary with 50%+ marks + 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) • Graduation + B.Ed (with bridge course in Elementary Education as per NCTE norms)

Paper 2 — Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6–8)

Any ONE of the following qualifications: • Graduation with 50%+ marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) • Graduation with 45%+ marks + 1-year B.Ed (NCTE recognised) • Graduation with 50%+ marks + 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) • 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) from recognised university • Final year students of qualifying exam also eligible (provisional)

⚠️ Equivalent qualifications as per NCTE norms also accepted. Candidates can apply for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 if eligible.

  • Both papers: Same day, different shifts

  • Negative Marking: None ✓

  • Qualifying Score: 90/150 (60% for General)
