Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institution. Degree must be complete before application closing date.

⚠️ ITBP is a high-altitude border force. Candidates must also meet medical standards including good colour vision (Ishihara test), no flat feet, no knock knee, no varicose veins.
🎯 Selection Process — 4 Phases
Documentation & Biometric (Qualifying)
Original documents verified. Biometric identification captured. Only candidates with valid documents proceed further.PST + PET (Qualifying)
Physical Standard Test (height, chest, weight) followed by Physical Efficiency Test (running, long jump, etc.). Both are qualifying — must pass to proceed.Written Examination (Merit Basis)
Paper I (Objective — 100 Marks, 2 hrs): General English, General Studies & Aptitude, Reasoning Ability.
Paper II (Engineering — 100 Marks, 2 hrs): Civil Engineering technical subjects. Both papers contribute to final merit.Interview / Personality Test (Qualifying)
Personality assessment, communication skills, general awareness. Shortlisted candidates from written exam called for interview.Detailed Medical Examination (DME / RME) (Qualifying)
Full medical by ITBP medical board. Colour vision (Ishihara test), eyesight, physical fitness assessed. Candidates unfit can opt for Review Medical Exam on the same day.
