📝 Computer Based Test (CBT) — Exam Pattern

🎯 Critical

Final merit list is prepared SOLELY on CBT marks. PET and PST are qualifying stages — they do not add to your score. Focus your preparation on CBT. Negative marking means blind guessing is harmful — skip questions you genuinely don't know.

🎯 Selection Process — All 6 Stages

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) — Race [QUALIFYING]: Running race as per trade group. Group A: 5 km in 24 min (male), 1.6 km in 8:30 (female). Group B: 1.6 km in 10 min (male), 1.6 km in 12 min (female). NO appeal if failed. Ex-Servicemen exempt.

Physical Standards Test (PST) [QUALIFYING]: Height, chest (male only), weight measured using RFID & digital equipment. Appeal to Appellate Authority allowed on same day. Category-wise relaxations apply. Biometric verification conducted at this stage.

Computer Based Test (CBT) [MERIT BASIS]: 100 MCQs · 100 marks · 120 minutes · Bilingual (Hindi/English). Negative marking: −0.25 per wrong answer. This is the ONLY stage that determines your final merit rank. Separate merit lists for Male/Female and each state/UT.

Trade / Skill Test [QUALIFYING]: 50 marks · Minimum 20 required to qualify. Practical demonstration of trade skill. Driver: actual driving test. Cook: cooking assessment. Carpenter: woodwork. Barber: barbering skills. If you don't have real hands-on skills, you will fail here.

Document Verification (DV) [QUALIFYING]: Originals verified: 10th certificate, Domicile/Permanent Residence Certificate, Category certificate, Trade certificates (ITI, HTV Licence, experience certificate), Photographs. Domicile mismatch = disqualification.

Medical Examination (DME / RME) [QUALIFYING]: By CRPF Medical Board under CAPF guidelines. Eyesight must meet standards (without glasses). Disqualifying: Colour blindness, knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, squint. Candidates declared unfit can opt for Review Medical Exam (RME) on the same day by giving written consent.

🚫 Who Cannot Apply (Disqualification Grounds)

YOU WILL BE REJECTED IF ANY OF THESE APPLY:

Not an Indian Citizen

Entered into marriage with a person whose spouse is still living

Do not hold a valid Domicile/Permanent Residence Certificate for the state/UT you are applying for

Person with Disability (PwD) — all categories (HH, OH, VH, Autism) are NOT eligible

Submitted more than one application under this examination

Age, educational qualification, or other eligibility not met as on 01.01.2026

No valid HTV Licence (for Driver post applicants)

No ITI or experience certificate (for MMV or Pioneer posts)

⚠️ Common Mistakes — Don't Get Rejected

1

Applying for a state where you don't have Domicile certificate — rejected at DV stage

2

Applying for Driver post without a valid Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) Licence — not just any driving licence

3

Claiming MMV post without ITI or experience certificate

4

Applying for more than one trade in this recruitment cycle

5

Name mismatch between application form and 10th certificate

6

Not training for PET race before exam — failing race = eliminated, no appeal

7

Mehndi/ink coating on fingers — remove completely before biometric on exam day

8

Wrong category claim (OBC non-creamy layer certificate expired or invalid)

9

Assuming trade proficiency alone will clear Trade Test without hands-on practice
